The Aichi D3A (愛知99式艦上爆撃機, Aichi-kyuu-kyuu-shiki-kanjou-bakugeki-ki), Allied code name "Val") was a produced by the Aichi company in Japan. It was the primary dive bomber in the Imperial Japanese Navy in the early stages of the war, and participated in almost all actions, including Pearl Harbor. The Aichi D3A was the first Japanese aircraft to bomb American targets in World War II. Before the war was over, it had sunk more Allied military ships than any other
