Our new 1/4 scale Mk IX spitfire is the largest ARF Spifire on the market today. It has a GRP fuselage construction and Balsa and Ply built up wings The prototype was built and tested by Anthony Ogle and his father Ray from Austars in Australia. They weren't too happy with the first canopy that was supplied so used a Mick Reeves 1/4 scale canopy instead that seems to fit perfectly judging by the video and photos. This model, like all the larger scale warbirds that we now sell would make an excellent canvas for the scale modeller to embellish with extra detail and features. At the moment we don't supply any retracts to fit this Spitfire, though units are easily available from other suppliers. |
